What to expect
Dr Caitlin, your end-of-life vet, will carefully explain each step of the process during your pet's home visit. She will give you ample time to ask any questions, ensuring you feel supported and prepared throughout this sensitive time.
Every pet is first given a gentle sedation to help them relax and fall into a peaceful sleep. This approach guarantees that the euthanasia process is calm, completely pain-free, and without any distress.
You are welcome to spend as much time with your pet as you need during this difficult moment.
After your pet has passed, there are several things to consider... You may choose to arrange a home burial (where permitted) or request specialized after-care such as cremation. You are welcome to use any provider you prefer, or Dr Caitlin can help to organize this through her trusted vet services.
Children and other pets are welcome to be present
Being able to say goodbye in their own way can be a meaningful part of the process for both children and other pets. Dr. Caitlin, an experienced end-of-life vet, is happy to guide families on how to support children through this time. Additionally, other pets are welcome to remain nearby during the home euthanasia process, allowing them to understand and adjust to the loss in their own way. Our home vet services ensure a compassionate experience for the entire family.

This is a female-owned and owner-operated mobile vet practice, meaning every visit is personally carried out by Dr Caitlin — the same calm, experienced veterinarian you will meet from your first contact through to your pet’s final moments.
